ABOUT
CRAC Valparaiso is a nonprofit collaborative platform on the socio-artistic different productions over the Valparaiso city, Chile. We are a residential center for artists and researchers who make several meetings in a type formed for talks, workshops and seminars. CRAC Valparaiso is a content distribution platform in a public archive format type and print and digital publisher. Our idea is based on the transdisciplinary art, the public sphere, the city and territory, who works as a network of connections and partnerships on social and urban experiences. We want to rethink that means public art and from a Latin American city in connection with the production of other cities. CRAC Valparaiso is an independent project that has been sustained since 2007 from a management model flexible and autonomous. We have worked with a number of platforms, groups, artists and researchersby encouraging collaborative networks decentered. We believe that our commitment to work in Valparaiso and links focusing on art and contemporary thought with the city, we can provide new lines of creative development. Strongly, we believe in collaborative networks, the exchange of models of work, solidarity and generosity to our knowledge is where the hope to collaborate to forming a common and public space accessible to diverse audiences on cultural events. Our interest is to contribute to the debate on the possibilities of collective citizenship, and artistic practices developed to re-think and re-design, participatory common policies on sustainable development in culture, space and society by promoting autonomy and transversal knowledge of contemporary disciplines.

About The Collective Eye – Project
The Collective Eye aims to strengthen a polynational dialogue between different collectives as well as between collectives and theorists.
The Collective Eye organizes exhibitions and symposia on collective practice in art and publishes the book series Thoughts on Collective Practice.
